The International Festival committee is still looking for a few core members as well as
sub-committee volunteers to assist in the planning for the August 25th event in Central Park.
Core members will be meeting once a month, and form "sub-groups" with additional volunteers who will work on the planning for logistics, fundraising, music and performers, arts and food boots, press-releases and marketing, and so on.
Please email InternationalFestivalFaribault@gmail.com for more information.

Update on festival
The week of August 16th we are really pulling this festival together. We have quite a bit of confirmations for participation, from different ethnics groups in town, arts & crafts, non-profits, restaurants and music groups. During the week we are re-visiting the people we spoke to, and will approach many more with our "table request form", as well as the "donation/sponsor request form", will allow companies to either donate an item (dinner for two, gift certificate, etc.) for the silent auction) or a monetary donation.
As we are getting very close to the festival date, we are running out of time to get state of federal grants, but once we show we have local participation and sponsors, we will be able to apply for grants for next year's festival.
We are planning to put out a flyer early week of August 23rd to invite the community to attend the festival. By that time we can put specifics on the flyer, and distribute it across town.
